Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky was first introduced in 1870 by George Garvin Brown of Brown‑Forman, making it the first bourbon ever sold exclusively in sealed glass bottles — a practice meant to guarantee quality and authenticity. Old Forester has been continuously distilled and marketed longer than any other bourbon brand, surviving Prohibition with one of only six medicinal‑use licenses and remaining a staple of classic Kentucky bourbon craftsmanship.
